Clean wash!

Miss you all

I post this story today for two reasons (I am trying to apply what they teach us in the pre Toefl class, which is giving reasons for anything ... Oops! so this is the third reason for my post today in addition to the following two), okey the first reason is that I miss hanging the laundry outside to dry on a line ... do u think they are going to sue me if I do it here? Our condominium is on the main street, imagine how I'll be considered a destroyer to the beauty of the neighborhood? Anyway the weather is rainy all the time here, so I am just dreaming.

The second reason is that I want to share the wisdom of this story to reach out for many people, specially my new acquaintances (including the new "me"!), who actually don't read my blog, but never mind , this is just the first step for me to do something, to take the initiaves and write it down, then will teach it for myself and for the others, practically of course, because there is no roles for the words in my life, apart from being written here in this blog.

dear readers enjoy the story:

Clean Wash

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood. The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside."That laundry is not very clean," she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap."Her husband looked on, but remained silent. Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments. About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: "Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this."The husband said, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."And so it is with life. What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.

Salam Enlightened Spirit,
YES, YES, YES....lovely reminder. I've heard this same concept but in a slightly different way and it has stuck with me forever. When we point the finger at someone to always remember we have three fingers pointing back at ourselves.

You poor dear being in all that rain. I don't know how you do it as me and the winter seem to struggle----well actually me not winter....LOL

When somebody from other parts of USA tells me that it always rains in Northwest "Not True, it drizzles" :-), I tell them I am happy they do not move here as they will ruin our life style here. You can not have the beauty of nature which surrounds you unless you have rain. Wait till spring and summer comes, you will love it plus maybe learning to ski will help you to get rid of winter depression :-)

You'll have a more whiter weather, and snow is much more beautiful than rain. The NW is extremely beautiful, but it can be be depressive sometimes, especially for people who came from a more shinning and a hotter climate. Good luck.

A very nice story, we could take a leaf out of it in dealing with our daily life.
In all these long years living in the northern hemisphere, my mind and body still not used to it, specially the winter time, long and depressing, make sure to keep yourself occupying during these dark hours, and invest in a small tumble dryer as winter Sun is just a shiny ray with no warmth, :o) .

Salam ... yes exactly.
the rain doesn't bother me much yet as I expected, may be coz the weather is not too cold, and that goes well with me. hope u defeat the "winter". I 'm sure u really do.

musiclover...
thanks for the link, I enjoyed the song :)
and u r right, till today even though it rains alot, I didn't experience any kind of a poured heavy rain which I used to experience in Triploi.
the unique thing about seattle drizzles is that nothing work with it, the use of umbrella is uselss. It seems that it comes from everywhere but the sky.
it actually doesn't coz much of trouble, u have to stand in the rain for hours to get wet...Oh this becoming a whole post not a reply, sorry, and thanx again.

gheriani...
I used to be a fan of snow at my childhood, but I'm not sure of it now ... I 'll see.
I heared that it is not snowing much here though. just for a week or so.
the good news is that I 'm not depressed yet, I have enough store of solar energy in my system ,hope it will be enough till my next visit to replenish my store.

Tazeen...

It will shock you how big the bookstore is, you can spend more than 2 days in it :-)
